| The right fender is coming along pretty
well. I just need to weld the two halves together, trim the wheel
opening to size and wire the edges. Original Willys fenders had a
radiused 90 degree flange around the wheel opening. The wheel opening
on this car needs a larger radius than original for easy removal of the
tires. A 90 degree flange could possibly cut the tire, so for additional
strength and a nice finished look, it will receive a wired edge, like
many automobile fenders of the 20's and 30's |
