ON HOLD !
This part of the front fender could not be
saved, as rust and fatigue had taken it's toll. The bondo is used to smooth
the rough areas so a pattern can be made. |
| This
is the pattern. The lines are marked for reference points. |
Contour gages are made to correspond with each line drawn on the shape
pattern. |

The new 19ga. panel clamped into position. |
| It's unnoticeable by this picture, but there are areas where daylight
is visible through pinholes, making it necessary to replace a large
amount of metal. |
| There is rust damage in this area too, as well as a tear having been
brazed along the wheel opening. |

The new repair panels are trial fit. |
| Another trial fit to make sure the arch flows properly. |

Welding begins. The panel is securely fastened. It will be butt welded
and metal finished. |
